So that being said, the Lord is REALLY testing my patience. How? Well, first off, the whole house thing has been driving my crazy. We were supposed to close on the house today, but instead we are still in our little apartment with no signs of closing before the holiday. What are we waiting for? Iowa Finance Authority! They offer a $2,500 grant for down payments/closing costs, but they have gotten behind in approving the applications. Our banker is still hoping we can close by the end of the week, but we are thinking with the holiday it won't be until next week. It seems it has just been one thing after another; at one point we thought we were going to have to back about because our bank said there was issues with the roof. We got that checked out and the roofer said we have at least 5 years on it, so we decided to go through with it and start saving for a new roof. We also would like to get in there before we actually move in and wash, paint and prime all the walls. The old owners were smokers, and everything needs to be scrubbed down, including the carpets. We had a carpet cleaner scheduled to go in tomorrow to clean them, but since it's not our house yet the previous owners don't want us in there "incase something falls through". I guess they wouldn't like a free carpet cleaning. On top of all of this, we HAVE to be out of our apartment soon (by this weekend), because someone else is moving in.
Just please pray for my patience. I know that the Lord will provide, I am just very anxious.
But I have to go now, and I will not have internet for another week or so. Have a good 4th of July!
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6
