My Two Cents on Teething!

Kinley got her first tooth!!! Yay! I thought she had been teething since she was like three months old, so I thought for sure she would have had at least 2 or 3 by now.  But I was wrong.  While she may have been teething, there was no evidence of that other than drooling and chewing on everything (but don't all babies do that anyway?)

Anywho, so back around the time she was three months old, we went and bought her a Baltic Amber Necklace, I wasn't too fond of drugging her up on Tylenol if I didn't have to, and while I still gave her some here and there, that necklace worked wonders.

For those of you that don't know, baltic amber contains succinic acid and works by the skin warming the amber which releases healing oils which are then absorbed into the bloodstream.  They DO NOT chew on these necklaces, they just wear them and that is it. Aside from alleviating teething pains they also:
•boost the immune system
•reduce inflammation
•accelerates the natural healing process
•calming effect without the use of drugs
•natural energizer
•natural pain killer (reduces or eliminates pain associated with headaches, joint stiffness, etc)
•have been known to treat discomfort linked to throat, ear and stomach irritations as well as fevers and colds.

All of this to say, Kinley got a tooth and we didn't even know it until it had already popped through.  She didn't get any Tylenol or cold rags, just her normal toys to chew on. She was drooling like crazy, but there is not much you can do about that. SO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE TO ALL MOMMAS, not just with newborns or babies but all.

Oh and FYI, they make them for adults also to help with joint pain. I think I am going to go get me one.

As I always do, here are a few things I have learned:
-Kinley is one tough little girl. I would not want to be teething, it is a good thing it happens at a time that they will not remember it.
-Believe it or not, it is possible to go through four outfits before noon. Kinley seems to have gotten that stomach bug, and has accomplished this task today. Please pray that it's just the 24 hour thing and no longer.
