So, I am new to this whole blogging thing. But I thought it would be fun to share some stuff I have learned while being married, and thought it would be a good way for everybody in Lincoln to keep up with what me and Zach are doing in Des Moines.
Yesterday was my birthday, and I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs. Zach then took me out to the car and told me to look in the trunk, where he had a Nebraska license plate cover, steering wheel cover, a husker keychain, and two window decals. He knows just what to get a Husker fan that lives in Hawkeye country. He then took me to the Antique Mall, where we spent 3 HOURS looking at stuff (I am very thankful God has taught him patience). He bought me a shadow box and a few trinkets to get me started in filling it up.
Just so everyone knows, I am still searching for a job, so please keep that in your prayers. Thankfully Zach already has a job, but is only getting about 30 hours a week. I am looking into working ANYWHERE they will hire.
And I will always end with somethings I have learned:
Don't buy off brand green beans.
And only buy Claussen pickles (halves).
Lastly, Zach loves his milk...and with two milk drinkers in the house we have gone through 10 gallons of milk in three weeks. I am beginning to think we should buy our own cow and milk her ourselves (haha).
Okay. Really. Lastly, I love being married, even if it does mean every morning I hear "Babe, where did you put my shoes?" and they are always in the same spot in the closet :) I love being Mrs. Fischer.
